Our Story

Jessica And Dimitrios

Jess and Dimitrios met whilst working in a big city, many miles from where they both began.

Jess was bought up in Suffolk, England in the seaside town of Felixstowe. She moved to Glasgow to be near friends and to study Events Management at Caledonian University

Dimitrios was bought up between Athens and Preveza, in Greece. He moved to Glasgow to study mathematics at the prestigious University of Glasgow.

Jess and Dimitrios met at a time of their lives when they needed each other the most and spent the first few years learning new lessons and enjoying life together. When Jess suddenly became ill with Thyroid Cancer, Dimitrios was there every day to help her with her recovery and with the psychological impacts of her illness. He also acted as a rock to her family, being a trustworthy and reliable presence by her side.

In turn, Jess helped Dimitrios push through his final years at university, encouraging him to go the extra mile and expect more for himself. She helped to introduce him to new people, hobbies and ways of living.

When Dimitrios’ sister and brother moved to the UK, Jess immediately declared them her own sister and brother and provides guidance and love to them to this day (whether they want it or not!)

Following the passing of Jess’ beloved Grandfather, they both began fostering Greyhounds in his memory. Today they share their lives with Mia, a rescue Maltese from Greece.

Jess and Dimitrios found that the rumours of domestic turbulence during the Covid pandemic did not apply to them, and that actually, they really enjoyed being locked away together! As a result, the got engaged in 2020, on the beach where Jessica would walk with her Grandfather.
